Empowering young women through basketball
The Kyniska Way
Kyniska has been empowering young women through basketball since 2009. Our purpose is to give girls an opportunity to play the game of basketball, but also to build character and confidence in the process. At Kyniska, we emphasize fundamental skill development in a family environment and are tirelessly committed to helping every player reach her potential. As you will see in our devoted staff, we have a deep respect and love for the game which we seek to instill in all of our players.

The Kyniska Mission
We want to make our athletes the absolute best players they can be. Doing so, however, requires more than just building their knowledge of the game and teaching them how to be part of a team. Achieving this objective requires overall empowerment. This means building confidence, character, and self-esteem, as well as giving them the technical skills they need to excel on the court. To achieve this goal, Kyniska believes in balancing playing time and playing to win, with a continual emphasis on individual development.
Kynska tryouts start in January of each year. Teams are normally selected by February and practices begin in March. Weekend tournaments start at the end of March and can run as late as July depending upon the age group and level of play for each team. Most teams do 6-8 tournaments. Older teams tend to travel more and do more tournaments. For more information, contact our Directors at email@example.com.
Kyniska Hoops is a girls basketball organization that competes in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Founded in 2009, Kyniska fields teams for girls in grades 4 through 11.
Founded in 2009 by Erin McCartney (now Erin Rozniakowski) and her sister, Melissa, Kyniska was created to provide more opportunities for young girls to play AAU basketball. Based in the Western Philadelphia suburbs, Kyniska’s home base is the Main Line/Springfield/Media area. Our players, however, have hailed from as far as Ridley, Phoenixville, West Chester, and Souderton. Kyniska’s approach to travel basketball is aimed and building the confidence of all players. We focus on player development, positive coaching, and playing time to achieve this goal.
